During the two days of August 15-16, all 100 healthy volunteers will be vaccinated with the first shot of ARCT-154 vaccine.
Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan said this vaccine was developed using the same technology as the approved Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

Professor Ta Thanh Van, Chairman of the Council of Hanoi Medical University, main researcher of this vaccine clinical trial process, said: `After only 2 days of announcing the recruitment of volunteers, more than 800 people applied.
Before the experimental injection, volunteers were screened and tested.
Volunteers received two injections of ARCT-154 vaccine or placebo 28 days apart.

According to the ARCT-154 vaccine clinical research protocol, all three testing phases one, two, and three are carried out in Vietnam, including:
Phase one, carried out at Hanoi Medical University on 100 volunteers.
Phase two involved more than 300 volunteers at testing organizations and communities in the provinces where the research was carried out.
Phase three, numbering 20,600 people, includes phase 3a (600 volunteers) and 3b (20,000 volunteers).
ARCT-154 vaccine was developed by VinBioCare Biotechnology Joint Stock Company under VinGroup and received technology transfer from Arcturus Therapeutics, Inc, USA.
According to VinGroup, anti-Covid-19 vaccines based on Arcturus’s mRNA technology have been undergoing phase 1, 2 and 3 clinical trials in the US, Singapore and many other countries.
