According to VnExpress’s survey, in 2018, land-based real estate companies had a spectacular breakthrough in the number of goods sold as well as the value of transacted products.
Kim Oanh Real Company, a veteran unit specializing in distributing land and townhouses, has just announced a year of spectacular growth in sales.
In the years 2016 – 2017, on average each year, the business sold 5,000-6,000 products to the market.
With an accumulated clean land fund of 550 hectares, in 2019 Kim Oanh Real plans to diversify products.
Last year, Danh Khoi Real Estate Joint Stock Company (DKR) sold 1,000 products to the market, including 400 commercial kiosks, 300 townhouses, and 300 land plots.
A land and townhouse project in the province bordering Saigon.
According to preliminary statistics in the transaction system of DKRA Vietnam Company, in 2018 the business sold about 4,000 products, of which 60% were land-based real estate (land and townhouses).
Meanwhile, Cat Tuong Company also sold 4,000 real estate products including land and townhouses in 2018 in the main areas of provinces bordering Saigon.
Even land projects launched quite late this year are sought after by investors.
Real estate experts assess that in 2018, the land-based real estate basket tended to concentrate heavily in provinces bordering Saigon with high liquidity and this scenario is likely to repeat in 2019.
General Director of Sea Holdings Real Estate Company, Tran Hien Phuong, said that an inevitable impact on the suburban real estate market when Saigon restricts licensing of new projects is that `the water will run to the bottom`.
Mr. Phuong analyzed that when housing prices in Ho Chi Minh City are too high and scarce, the new product distribution map may shift to suburban locations.
