Wearing a yellow protective vest, Szeweczyk argued with a police officer while dozens of people blocked a roundabout outside Manston airport in Kent county, southeast England, on December 23.

More than 5,000 trucks are stuck near the port of Dover on the way to transport goods across the English Channel, after France on December 20 banned people from the UK from entering the country and closed the border tunnel across the strait, due to concerns about the nCoV strain.

A truck blocked the M20 motorway leading to the port of Dover in Kent county, England, on December 23.

By the end of December 22, France agreed to reopen its border with the UK, but those wanting to enter must present negative test results for nCoV.

People who are positive for nCoV when tested with rapid test strips will be tested again with PCR.

British Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said they were looking for ways to resolve congestion between the UK and France.

In fact, the traffic line seems to show no signs of budging and the way to register for nCoV testing is also vague, making drivers angry.

Police said some disturbances occurred `involving individuals wishing to cross the Strait`, prompting them to make an arrest.

Drivers stay in a truck while waiting to enter the port of Dover in Kent County, England, on December 23.

Drivers predict they will be stuck for many days and will have to spend Christmas in their trucks.

`We’ve been here for two days now. I think it will take another two days to handle this situation. There are so many trucks,` Spanish driver Pablo Mora said in an interview while waiting inside.

German driver Sergej Merkel is also among those heading towards the border.

Many people in the crowd of drivers had no hot food in the cold weather, nor a place to shower, making them think they were victims of political tensions between Britain and the European Union.

Meanwhile, Polish driver Szwaja choked up with emotion when talking about having to be away from his two young children during Christmas.
