At a meeting on environmental sanitation in Hanoi city, on the afternoon of December 18, leaders of many districts proposed that the city allow vehicles to spray water and wash roads on streets with a large amount of traffic to reduce traffic.

As an area where the city has allowed the city to pilot road washing again, Mr. Do Thanh Tung – Vice Chairman of Hoang Mai District People’s Committee said that washing the roads once a week on Giai Phong and Nghiem Xuan Yem routes has minimized the problem.

In response to the above recommendations, City Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung requested relevant units to organize street washing this week, and at the same time asked Urenco (Hanoi Urban Environment Company Limited) to improve sprinkler heads.
