At the 5th conference of the Hanoi Party Executive Committee on the morning of June 27, for the first time, the content of restricting personal vehicles had a specific roadmap, aiming at the goal of synchronous development and modernization of infrastructure.

Commenting on the roadmap to ban personal vehicles, Thanh Xuan District Secretary Vu Cao Minh said that besides personal motorbikes, people are switching to electric bicycles and electric motorbikes.
Among the types of transportation, Mr. Minh suggested that we should also utilize waterway transportation.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hanoi Transport Corporation, Mr. Nguyen Phi Thuong, said that in the planning of public passenger transportation, buses are still the key.
Limiting personal vehicles to reduce traffic congestion has been set by Hanoi for many years.
