Matchmaking has become a thriving business in China, where 180 million people are single.

Rich women are also subject to many prejudices from the upper class men in whom they live.

Rebecca Chen, 29 years old, is one of the youngest millionaires in Chengdu to register for Mr. Du’s matchmaking project.

`Men have a lot of choices and their probability of successfully finding a wife is much higher than ours, because they can choose a woman from a lower social class than themselves,` said the wealthy female millionaire.

Mr. Du’s `hunting` campaign for potential candidates, coordinated with a matchmaking service in Hong Kong, began on June 18 with the reception of online registration applications from all over the world.

The second phase of the selection will begin on July 20, when organizers screen the applications and select the most `potential husbands` to meet directly with marriage experts and experts.

This competition to `become a millionaire husband` will certainly be very fierce.

`They don’t need nonsense guys,` said Mr. Du, 45 years old, a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Minnesota and a father of two.

`My ideal man needs to be sociable, generous, strong and good at communication. He also needs to have financial potential, assets of at least one million USD,` Chen said.
