A special train on March 25 from North Korea passed through the border city of Dandong in China, sparking rumors that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was secretly visiting Beijing.
Trains have long been the preferred means of transportation for North Korean leaders.
Mr. Kim Jong-il likes to go by train because he is afraid of sitting on a plane, according to BBC.

Mr. Kim’s train usually moves at a speed of 60 km/h.
Security measures were stepped up after an explosion in Ryongchon, near the border with China, in 2004, killing about 160 people and injuring 1,300.

Kim Jong-il has used trains several times to travel abroad to China and Russia.
